Paraboles set out to achieve the first full-scale multimedia performance created in zero gravity,
merging art, science and cinematic storytelling aboard 25 arcs of microgravity flight.
The project’s success depended on building public credibility and securing crowdfunding for training and production.
As a first-of-its-kind performance, it faced skepticism from outlets seeking proof of concept and visual references.
Insight
Audiences are fascinated by the convergence of art and science but often disengaged when complexity overshadowed human emotion.
By positioning Paraboles as a story of artistic curiosity and human exploration, we made the future of space performance feel tangible and inspiring.
This emotional narrative helped bridge the credibility gap and attract both media and supporters.
Solution
For Phase 1 of Paraboles, we led the project’s press and communications strategy, building a clear narrative that translated scientific
innovation into cultural storytelling. We crafted dual press kits tailored for arts, science and local media, and activated influencers
across technology and creative sectors. The campaign launched the Kickstarter, exceeded its funding goal and positioned Paraboles as the
new frontier of performance art in space.
Results
In just 40 days, the campaign secured 200+ media placements, including a feature on Space.com (11.7M readers monthly).
It surpassed its $30,000 Kickstarter goal, unlocked continued project development and earned the O’Shaughnessy Ventures Grant.
The success generated ongoing opportunities for TV placements, speaking engagements and institutional partnerships.
Our leadership of the Paraboles communication strategy continued through the next stages of the project.
